ON THE PRINCIPAL PROPERTIES OF LARGE-SCALE POWER SYSTEMS.
A brief evaluation of the original propositions of systems research in power engineering is given; on this basis, a version of the characteristic of the principal properties of large-scale power systems is proposed which is defined from the aspect of problems in the optimal management of such systems. These properties are given in four basic groups: structure, development, operation, and control. The importance of investigating the given properties is demonstrated for theoretical and practical problems in the study of large-scale power systems.
