Optimal Power Flow Calculation Using BFGS-Based Optimisation Scheme
The problem of optimal power flow is considered. The method of search of an optimal mode from the point of view of both minimised production and transmission costs is proposed. Proposed optimisation takes into account the operation mode's constrains on voltage and power. The nonconvexity of the optimal power flow problem is demonstrated and the efficient global and local optimum search method is suggested. The proposed method enables the constraints incorporation using the L - BFGS- B optimisation algorithm. The stochastic modification of the global optimisation algorithm of the Lipschetz function was used on the initial stage to impower the L-BFGS-B method. The influence of renewable energy generation on the optimal power flow problem is discussed. Two illustrative examples on Irkutsk grid and IEEE 118 buses scheme demonstrate the efficiency of proposed method. © 2018 IEEE.
