The article discusses the direction, called resilience, which is defined as the ability of a system to return to an resilience state after a temporary disturbance. In Russia, research in this area is carried out mainly in the field of technical resilience, while in Western Europe this area is considered more broadly and also includes environmental, psychological, social and economic resilience. When studying the resilience of energy systems, the authors are based on studies of energy security that use the concept of situational management. For a qualitative description of situations, it is proposed to use intelligent technologies, in particular, cognitive modeling based on a graph representation of cognitive models. After a qualitative assessment of the situation, it is usually desirable for a decision maker (DM) to have a quantitative justification for the recommended decisions. To meet this requirement, it is proposed to integrate intelligent and mathematical technologies. The team represented by the authors developed the cognitive modeling tool CogMap and reengineered the existing version of the legacy SP INTEC (a modern version of the multi-agent SP - INTEC-A was developed). Currently, the results of cognitive modeling are entered into the PC manually, while work is underway to automate the transition from cognitive maps to ExS scenarios in INTEC-A. An example of a computational experiment using cognitive models and INTEC-A software is given. It seems that the integration of intelligent and mathematical technologies can be successfully used to support decision-making in research and ensuring the resilience of energy systems and can become the basis of an intelligent decision support system (IDSS) in this area.
