BRIEF INFORMATION
The main goal of the upcoming international event is to discuss the issues of expanding the global energy markets, with an emphasis on the role of natural gas and electric power in the countries of Northeast Asia. The discussion of strategic directions for the energy cooperation will make it possible to develop the mechanisms for strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation through the inter-country projects.
According to the format of the Conference, there will be a plenary session and two simultaneous working sessions:
Working Session Formation of gas market and gas pipeline network in Northeast Asia, as a driver of energy cooperation in the region relates to the development of theoretical and methodological aspects of the multi-factor research into the strategic directions for the expansion of gas pipeline systems in terms of global and Russian tendencies. Participants will consider the issues of control to forecast the markets for energy resources in Asian Russia and NEA countries, as well as the variants of constructing the gas pipeline system in the region.
A special emphasis will be placed on the problems and examples of successful implementation of the projects on the pipeline system expansion in the region, with respect to the uncertainty of social and economic processes.
In the framework of the Conference, the Executive Committee of the NAGPF is going to have a meeting.
Working Session Interstate power pool in Northeast Asia as a tool for strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation among the countries deals with the formation of interstate electric ties, interstate power interconnections and interstate electricity markets, which is a global integration process that occurs in different regions of the world. The interstate electrical network infrastructure underlies the formation and operation of the interstate electricity markets. The driving forces of this process are the benefits of the energy cooperation (decrease in generating capacities and investment, improvement in reliability, involvement of large-scale renewable energy sources, etc.)
Northeast Asia is gradually being involved in this process, which is accompanied by an active development of the interstate trade in the energy resources in the region.
The goal of the Conference is to exchange the experience and integrate the research on the discussed topics through the involvement of academic and research institutes from Russia and the NEA countries. The Conference is a forum for the discussion and creation of an international team of likeminded people for comprehensive study on the posed problems, development and application of the methodology and tools intended for the enhancement of the scientific research effectiveness.
THE MAIN TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION:- Problems and goals of control to forecast energy markets in Asian Russia an Northeast Asian countries
- Scientific grounds for the implementation of the Eastern energy strategy and creation of pipeline systems
- Theoretical and methodological aspects of forecasting the gas pipeline transport development
- Possibilities and problems in the formation of the electric power pool in the region;
- Forms and levels of interstate electric power cooperation in the region;
- Role of renewable energy sources in the region;
Discussions on the main topics of presentations will be held at the end of the Conference.
Working languages of the Conference are Russian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided at all the Sessions of the Conference.
