The security of the power supply system (PSS) as well as the security of the entire electric power system is understood as an ability of the system to maintain an acceptable state in case of changes in operating conditions, component failures, and sudden disturbances. Primary failures of PSS components can be caused by short circuits or false activation of protection devices, which lead to the disconnection of a component. In case the component is disconnected after a short circuit, the system can experience a failure of a breaker or protection devices, subsequent activation of backup automation, and disconnection of neighboring components. In the case, where the backup automation is activated, its failure probability can also be taken into account. Failure of a distributed generation source is modeled by its disconnection with the specified probability
