The problem of real-time monitoring of a grid-connected synchronous generator can be solved using state estimation methods. Static and dynamic state estimation methods are currently being developed. All state estimation methods provide information about the object in question using noisy measurements. In conditions where the operating states of the considered object change frequently and quickly the estimates of the dynamic state are needed. Real-time estimation of the dynamic state of a synchronous generator is possible when high-speed measurements and a correct dynamic model of the synchronous generator are available. This study aims to develop an algorithm of dynamic state estimation of a wind farm equipped with a synchronous generator. The dynamic model of the synchronous generator is presented by a d-q axis model. The d-q axis stator voltage and current are selected as a state vector. The values of the latter and the stator active and reactive power are used as measurements. © 2024 IEEE.
