An annual International Conference of the Asia-Pacific Energy Research Center (APERC), a meeting of the APERC Advisory Board as well as the APERC pre-Jubilee Symposium (a year before the 20th anniversary of the Center) were held on June 9-11, 2015, in Tokyo.

The next 6^th CRIS International Conference “Problems of Critical Infrastructures” will be held on June 25-27, 2015 in Saint Petersburg, Russia jointly with the 6^th International Conference “Liberalization and Modernization of Electric Power Systems”, which was organized in 2000 and has been held once every three years.

Janusz Bialek, Director of the Skoltech Center for Energy Systems, a well-known British expert in smart and renewable energy visited Irkutsk on October 20-21. The main aim of his visit was to get acquainted with the achievements of Irkutsk researchers and discuss the lines of further collaboration.

The 9th International Conference “Asian Energy Cooperation” was held on September 23-24, 2014 at Energy Systems Institute SB RAS (http://sei.irk.ru/aec2014), Irkutsk, Russia. The Conference was organized by Energy Systems Institute SB RAS and the International Research Center “Energy Infrastructure in Asia”. The sponsors of the Conference were the official partner JSC “NOVATEK”, LLC “Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk”, JSC “Irkutskenergo”, and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

On May 27, 2014 in Seoul Energy Systems Institute SB RAS and Korea Energy Economics Institute (the Republic of Korea) signed a cooperation agreement to conduct joint studies.
