The TU Dortmund University (Germany) and the Energy Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russia) launched a joint research project to develop a unified modelling approach for distributed flexibility options. While recent approaches for distributed flexibility fail at common understanding of flexibility in the different layers of the power system, the participants will develop a modelling framework that allows the detailed quantification of flexibility potentials with a distribution-oriented perspective as well as on a systemwide view. © 2019 IEEE.
